U.S. News reviewed public schools in all 50 states for the 2023-2024 Best High Schools rankings, which includes rankings for 18,000 eligible schools.
Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School ranked #2 in the Glens Falls, NY Metro Area out of the 19 area high schools. In New York State, our District was the #270 out of 1,367 and the #2,773 rankings out of 17,680 high schools nationwide.

Each school is ranked based on these six factors using students’ performances on varying assessments which include, college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student population, and graduation rate.
Other factors for ranking schools include advanced placement (AP) exam classes and assessments taken by students as well as math, science, and reading proficiency.
