School Based Mental Health Services

Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN)

We understand as a district the importance of the whole child and ensuring social and emotional services are a priority in equipping students with the skills to cope when things become difficult.

School-based mental health services are designed to provide a variety of services to school-age children who have social, emotional, or behavioral needs so that they can be successful in school. School-based mental health services provide; skills to solve problems, early intervention for students in need of support to deal with grief, anger, anxiety, provide support for various mental health needs, and increase access to mental health services.

Starting in 2023, Lake George Central School District and Behavior Health Services North (BHSN) has collaborated to provide services in the district one day a week in each building. If you have concerns for your student or would like to discuss counseling services, please feel free to reach out to your child’s school principal or school counselor.
