Meet the Board Members


Katie Bruening, President

Ms. Katie Bruening majored in biology, and minored in psychology at East Tennessee State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She has enjoyed working as a Physical Therapist in a variety of settings, and as an outdoor educator for Camp Chingachgook.

Ms. Bruening was elected to the Lake George CSD Board of Education in 2018 and re-elected in 2021. She is the current board president, chairs the Board Development Committee, and is a member of the Audit and Finance and Policy committees. In previous years, she served on the Curriculum and Buildings and Grounds committees. In addition to her service to the district, she is on the Board of Directors for the Lake George Land Conservancy.

Ms. Bruening and her husband, Glen, have two children – Dylan and Carson. The whole family has a lifelong connection to, and love of, the Lake George region. They enjoy the natural beauty of the area through many outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, sailing, and a variety of winter sports.

Maryanne MacKenzie, Vice President

Ms. Maryanne MacKenzie is a licensed physical therapist. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from St. Lawrence University and a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse.

Ms. MacKenzie was elected to the Lake George CSD Board of Education in 2019. In addition to being Board Vice President, she is Chair of the Policy Committee and serves on the Board Development Committee and Curriculum committees.

Ms. MacKenzie and her husband, Mark Weidner, have two children who graduated from Lake George CSD – Gabriella, Class of 2019, and Freddy, Class of 2021, as well as two dogs, and a cat. She is an outdoor enthusiast who likes to travel and hike mountains. She has run several marathons and is an Adirondack 46er. She also enjoys poetry and crossword puzzles.

Jeannine Bieber

Mrs. Jeannine Bieber teaches chemistry, physics, and nanotechnology at Hadley-Luzerne Central School District. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry and Master’s Degree in chemistry and education from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Mrs. Bieber was elected to the Lake George CSD Board of Education in 2020. She serves on the Athletic and Buildings and Grounds Committees.

Mrs. Bieber and her husband, Steven, have two daughters who graduated from LGHS – Kira, Class of 2017 and Elena, Class of 2019 – and a dog named Annie. She enjoys living in the Adirondacks with everything it has to offer, especially hiking and stand up paddle boarding.

Mrs. Rosemarie Earl

Mrs. Rosemarie Earl retired from LGCSD as Director of Guidance after 28 years of service. As an educator, she was an advocate for students and parents; master scheduler for Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School; and frequent collaborator with faculty, parents, and administration. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology/psychology from St. Lawrence University; a master’s degree with a concentration in school counseling from the College of St. Rose; and completed graduate work at SUNY Plattsburgh. 

Mrs. Earl was elected to the Lake George CSD Board of Education in 2020. She is Chair of the Curriculum and Instruction Committee and serves on the Audit and Finance and Culture and Climate committees. Her other community service includes serving as treasurer of the Fort George Battlefield Park Alliance and volunteering at the Double H Hole in the Woods Ranch. She has 30 years of service with the National Ski Patrol and is a life member and past president of the Lake George Emergency Squad. 

Mrs. Earl and her husband, Todd, have one daughter, Maggie, who graduated from LGCSD in 2017. Her interests include hiking, swimming, and traveling. She loves living in the Lake George region and enjoys theater productions from the Adirondack Theater Festival in Glens Falls and Proctors Theater in Schenectady. She is a member of the Lake George Association, Lake George Land Conservancy, Adirondack Mountain Club, and the Fort George Battlefield Park Alliance.

Mr. Mario Fasulo

Mr. Mario Fasulo is currently the district manager for Stewart’s Shops, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He attended Johnson & Wales University where he studied culinary arts. 

Mr. Fasulo was elected to the Lake George CSD Board of Education in 2022. He serves as chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, and also serves on the Buildings and Grounds Committee.

Mr. Fasulo and his wife, Carol, have been married for 21 years, and have three children, all Lake George students – Vincenzia, Class of 2021; Gianna, Class of 2023; and Alessandria, Class of 2025. He enjoys cooking with his family, reading, and entertaining friends.

Jeffrey Meyer

Jeffrey is an attorney and partner of the law firm Meyer, Fuller & Stockwell, PLLC in Lake George. His practice areas include Municipal Law, Real Estate and Land Use Law, and Business Law. Jeff is a proud graduate of the Albany City School District, the University of New Hampshire, Durham (Bachelor of Science), and Vermont Law School (Juris Doctor and Master of Studies in Environmental Law). He has been practicing law throughout the region since 2005 advising clients, providing practical solutions where possible, and guidance through complex legal issues. 

In addition to representing not for profits, Jeff has also had the pleasure of serving on numerous local boards. He is currently the Chair of L.E.A.P., a community action agency combating poverty by serving all people and families throughout Washington County. Their largest program includes Head Start and Early Head Start which provides school readiness programs for eligible families from birth to 5 years old. He is also a member of the Glens Falls Lions Club. 

Jeff and his wife Samantha have three children in the Lake George Junior-Senior High School. When he is not working, he enjoys watching his kids participate in a wide variety of sports and activities, as well as being outside as much as possible.

Mrs. Donna Prime

Mrs. Donna Prime is a family practice physician assistant in Hudson Falls. She has also worked at the Glens Falls Hospital’s School Health Center at the Hadley-Luzerne Elementary School.  Prior to her work as a physician assistant, Mrs. Prime worked in the budget and administration sector. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University and a master’s degree from Columbia University. She later studied to become a physician assistant at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center.

Mrs. Prime was elected to the Lake George CSD Board of Education in 2022. She serves on the Buildings and Grounds; Curriculum; and chairs the Culture and Climate committee.

Mrs. Prime and her husband, Ted, have three sons, all K-12 Lake George graduates – Tyler, Class of 2013; Noah, Class of 2016; and Case, Class of 2018. 

She enjoys camping at the lake in the summer, catching live music, cheering on the Aston Villa soccer team, and reading and relaxing to almost any HGTV show!
