Lexi Parker, a 2015 graduate of Lake George Central School District, embodies the spirit of dedication, leadership, and a passion for education. Her journey, from the halls of Lake George High School to her current role as a Pre-K teacher at Whitehall Elementary, is evidence to the strong foundation she built in her hometown.

Graduating first in her class, she immersed herself in a wide array of activities, demonstrating her commitment to both academics and community. Her extensive list of involvements includes leadership positions in the Technology Club, Spanish Club, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), and Anti-Bully Club, as well as contributions to the Yearbook and Forum. She was also a member of the National Senior Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, served as class treasurer, and tutored in math and Spanish. Beyond academics, Parker’s passion for sports led her to serve as the scorebook keeper for the varsity Boys Soccer team and, most notably, as the team manager for the varsity Boys Basketball team during their state championship-winning season.
“I had an amazing experience at LG!” Parker said. “I was an incredibly over-involved and over-achieving student.” She credits her teachers at Lake George as the primary inspiration for her career in education. “My teachers at LG are the main reason that I became a teacher,” she explains. “I grew up around such phenomenal and caring educators that built such close relationships with me that I knew I wanted to do that with my own students someday.” Parker maintains many of these relationships to this day, frequently meeting up with her former teachers to chat. The town itself also played a significant role in shaping her, cultivating a love for nature and the outdoors. “I really cannot imagine growing up and living anywhere else,” she says. “It is such an incredibly special place to me.”
After graduating from Lake George, Parker attended Skidmore College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Studies and a minor in American Studies in 2019. This past May, she completed her Master of Science in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from the University of Albany, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout all five semesters. Her commitment to basketball continued at Skidmore, where she served as the Men’s Basketball team manager for all four years and has since transitioned into various roles, including Director of Operations and Game Day Operations Manager.
Now in her sixth year of teaching, Parker has spent the last two years shaping young minds as a Pre-K teacher at Whitehall Elementary. She has also helped pilot the After School program, contributes to the Giving Tree initiative, and is actively involved in PTA events. Her dedication extends beyond the classroom as well. She has served as the President of the Lake George Alumni Association for the past two years, mentoring current Skidmore students interested in education through the Skidmore ZEN Mentoring Program, and acting as Chair of her class fund at Skidmore.
Despite her impressive accomplishments, Parker remains grounded. “I have a lot of great relationships with my students!” Her commitment to her students, her community, and her alma mater speaks volumes. Lexi Parker’s story is not just one of academic and professional success; it’s a story of giving back, inspiring others, and making a lasting impact, one student at a time. And, it all started in Lake George!
