October Staff Spotlight: Robert LaBarron

Robert LaBarron, the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Lake George Elementary School (LGES) brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as a State Trooper for seventeen years and prior to that, as an active-duty Army soldier for seven years.

LaBarron joined the Lake George Central School District in 2019 and has quickly become an integral part of the school community. His previous roles as an M1A1 Tank Driver and Military Police have equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure the safety and security of students and staff.

“I love the position and being able to work with the kids,” LaBarron said. “Seeing the kids and staff every day and being able to provide them with a sense of safety and security is incredibly rewarding.”

LaBarron has lived in Lake George since 2007 and has three children attending the district. When he’s not working, he enjoys staying active through exercise, fishing, hunting, archery, hiking, and spending time with his family and his dog, Bama. He also has a passion for building wooden American flags.

LGES is excited to have Robert LaBarron as their School Resource Officer. His dedication to the community and his commitment to the safety and well-being of students and staff make him an invaluable asset to the district. Thank you Robert for your dedication to Lake George!
