Lake George FBLA Shines at National Conference


The Lake George Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently returned from a successful trip to the National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Orlando, Florida. Held from June 29 to July 2, the conference brought together over 15,000 students from across the country to compete in over 70 business-related events.

Five Lake George students qualified for the NLC by placing in the top four at the state competition. The attending students and their events were, Rebecca Pape (Personal Finance) – Two-time national competitor, Katherine Seguljic (Sports and Entertainment Management), and Pryscilla Seale and Mila Gwinup (Graphic Design Team) – Mila is a three-time national competitor.

The FBLA NLC is a prestigious event that allows students to showcase their business skills and knowledge. It’s also a valuable opportunity for personal growth. Students can attend leadership workshops, network with peers from around the country, and participate in various activities that strengthens leadership development.

“The wide variety of activities and being surrounded by the nation’s brightest business students is an incredible experience,” said Rebecca Pape. “I’m so grateful for this opportunity.”

The Lake George Chapter has a long history of success at the FBLA NLC, with student qualifiers attending every year since 2005. The chapter is proud to be led by advisors Mrs. Karen Breslin and Mrs. Brenda Hoffman.

“The experience and lessons I’ve learned from FBLA have helped me not just academically, but in all areas of life,” said Mila Gwinup.
