For Sandra Gunther, serving breakfast and lunch in the Lake George Elementary School cafeteria isn’t just a job – it’s a chance to bring smiles to the faces of students.
Gunther, a resident of Lake George, who also saw two of her own children graduate from Lake George schools, has spent the past 24 years ensuring students are well-nourished and happy.
“My favorite thing about the job is definitely seeing the kids’ smiles when they enjoy their food,” said Gunther. “Knowing I played a part in making their day a little brighter is really rewarding.”
Gunther also cherishes the peace and quiet of the lake and mountains during the off-season. When she’s not whipping up meals at school, you can find her spending time with her two beloved dogs.
Gunther’s dedication to the well-being of students and her appreciation for the Lake George community shine through in her daily work, making her a valuable asset to the school district.
