At Lake George Elementary School there’s a familiar face at the front door that exudes warmth and dedication—Gail Zivica. With a passion for the outdoors, a love for reading, and an avid interest in sports, Gail brings a vibrant energy to her role as an integral member of our school community.
Whether she’s tending to her yard, taking leisurely strolls, or immersing herself in the pages of a captivating book, she finds enjoyment being out in nature. However, it’s the serene beauty of Lake George, where both her children graduated, that truly captivates her heart. Fond memories of family outings on the lake and scenic drives along its shores serve as a constant reminder of the beautiful place she gets to live and work in.
But amidst her love for the great outdoors, Gail’s true passion lies within the walls of LGES, where she has dedicated the past 15 years of her career. For her, the most rewarding aspect of her role is the opportunity to make meaningful connections—not only with her students but also with their families. From Kindergarten round-up to the bittersweet moments of the Moving Up ceremony, Gail witnesses the remarkable growth of the students year after year.
“I don’t just get to see the children grow up, but the families as well,” said Zivica. “Seeing families grow is one of my greatest joys here at LGES.”
It’s a career filled with pride, joy, and the occasional tear shed in celebration of their accomplishments. As she reflects on her tenure at the Elementary School, Gail considers herself fortunate to be surrounded by a team of warm and caring educators and staff who share her passion for nurturing young minds.
