Changing
Your LG Email Account Settings |
To change your LG email account settings,
follow these steps: |
1) Click on the "Configuration" link on the side
bar.
2) First of all, your user name is displayed, and under that,
the amount of space you are using in your account. If
your account fills up, you will need to delete some
emails. Attachments are usually what takes up most of
the space, so delete some of those first.
3) Next is your password. You can change it by typing
your new password in both boxes. Note that YOU
are responsible for your new password and you will have to
remember it.
4) Next is your email address. If you change it to
another @lkgeorge account, you will not be able to receive
emails under that email address. For example, your original
address could be something like smithj@lkgeorge.org.
If you change it to, say, ImTheBest@lkgeorge.org,
this will appear on all emails you send and any emails sent
back to you with this address will be bounced so you will
never get them. That could only be useful if you want to
forward your @lkgeorge emails to another account (such as a
hotmail, yahoo or your home ISP account).
5) Under "POP3 Server Settings" next to your email
account information, there is a setting labeled "Delete
emails after recieving". "No" is the
default setting. It is suggested that you leave it
selected as "No". What it does is enable you
to access any past messages from any computer. If
"Yes" is selected, you would only be able to access
past messages on the computer you had sent/received the
messages on.
6) You can add other email accounts under your @lkgeorge
account. Just enter the server name (usually starts with
pop), your user name, and your password.
7) When you are finished with everything, click
"Submit" down at the bottom of the page.
