Our school district is committed to the integration of technology into the education process at both schools. We have invested a great deal of time, effort, and capital into developing one of the strongest technology systems of any school district in the area. Some high points:

• Student to computer ratio is about 2 to 1 - an excellent ratio that allows our students hands-on experience.
• Fiberoptic connection to the Internet - we just activated one of the fastest connections possible to the internet. Many of our core instructional programs have corresponding websites that give students additional help and enrichment on materials studied in class. Through changes in purchasing procedures, we can provide this service at no additional cost to our taxpayers.
• Smartboard Technology - LG currently has 21 smartboards in use. With the help of WSWHE BOCES Models Schools trainers, we have provided in-service training for our staff on the use of the boards. Smartboard technology provides student an opportunity to interact with the materials being taught.
  
• Wireless Internet Connection - we are completely wireless at the elementary school and have about 75% of the high school covered. Students and staff are allowed to bring their laptops into school and use our network. All computer traffic is filtered by a state-of-the-art web filtering system.
• Laptop Carts - our district feels the portable laptop carts allow teachers to bring a computer lab to their classrooms with a minimal interruption to students. We have 3 laptop carts in the high school and 4 at the elementary school. Students take very good care of our laptops - several of our carts are over 6 years old and still functioning well.
• State-of-the-art Technical Assistance - our school contracts with WSWHE BOCES to provide top level technical assistance to keep our network running well.
