Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year!!!
I hope that your summer has been a relaxing one and that you’re ready for a great school year. Here is some information to help you get off to a great start:
Summer reading program paperwork should be turned in to classroom teachers. (Copies are on our web site)
School breakfast and Lunches will remain at the same price as last year. Breakfast is $1.00 and lunch is $2.00.
School Hours: The school day starts at 7:45 when students get off buses and make their way to their classrooms. (Students arriving after 8:00 are tardy). Dismissal begins at 2:05 with K and finishes by 2:15 with our Intermediate II students. Parents picking up students should not arrive prior to 2:00.
Arrival/Dismissal: To maintain a safe environment for our students, I’m asking for your help with several procedures. For parents that drop off children, please pull up to the end of our drop off zone and have your children ready to exit to the crosswalk. This maintains an efficient and safe flow of traffic. At dismissal, please remember that when picking up your child, use the doors by the library to enter and exit. Parking can be challenging, but please only park in designated spaces. Crosswalks should be used at all times when walking past school buses. By working together, we can make these busy times as safe and efficient as possible.
We have an outstanding PTSO at Lake George Elementary School that I encourage all parents to join! Our annual Fun Fair is scheduled for September 17th from 5:00 - 7:00PM. If you’re interested in volunteering to help, please contact Kim O’Connell at oconnellk@lkgeorge.org

Sept 7th & 8th - school closed for Staff Development days / teacher meetings all day
Sept 9, 2010: 1st Day of School 7:45 am

Sept. 29, 2010 -6:15-7- Let’s Get Acquainted Night Int. I, 7:00-7:45p.m. Let’s Get Acquainted Night Int. II
Sept 30, 2010 - 6:15- Let’s Get Acquainted Night Kindergarten 7-7:45PM- Let’s Get Acquainted Night Primary
